Phish 2009 Tour Dates

January 7th, 2009

We know that Phish intends to be playing more than just their announced March Hampton shows. We just don’t know when…

UPDATE: 1/8/09: Looks like the June 6th & 18th dates are no longer listed, but 6/19 @ Deer Creek is! See Who’s Got My Heady Organic Phish dates? for more info.

UPDATE 1/7/09: Phish June 16 & 18 dates online at TicketsNow.com!

Plenty of rumors are circulating around the internet.  Some more reliable than others. The most likely news (according to RollingStone.com) is that Phish will be at this year’s Bonnarroo festival.

UPDATE: According to Billboard.com earlier today LiveNation.com published a January 30th on-sale date for a June 18th Phish show at the Post-Gazette Pavilion (near Pittsburgh).  They also reported that TicketsNow.com showed Phish playing Great Woods (near Boston) June 6.

CollegeNews.com suggested that Phish’s 2009 spring dates were planned, while most of those venues aren’t booked on those dates some already are (according to the venue’s website, Rosemont.com, the only thing fans will be watching is the Chicago Wolves playing Rockford in hockey that night).

So when I got an email today listing Phish’s “supposed tour dates” I was a bit skeptical, but just in case I’m posting them here.  The dates and some of the text from that email are listed below.

Chevy Electric Hybrid in 2010

June 5th, 2008

I’m curious to see how the cars on the road change as gas continues to be more expensive… Here’s Chevy’s potential contribution:

Chevy Volt

photo from Best of Green Web

4 seater electric/hybrid vehicle that gets 40 miles per charge on electricity alone (it recharges from a standard outlet), and about 50 mpg after that. It looks like it’ll be costing somewhere north of $35,000 but less than $40,000.

Icebergs with colored strips

June 5th, 2008
Found this forward in my inbox, more of nature’s majesty and beauty.
Icebergs with colored strips are amazing creations.

Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with meltwater and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form.

When an iceberg falls into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze to the underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe.

Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.

Yikes Stripes, Fruit Stripe Gum!
